I've just added #669 Becky Thatcher to the group database. Details per
Bruce's post #46207. Bruce, where is that Bolger article from?
#441 MADELINE
In the second sentence of the above article Mr Bolger refers to
(Paddlin') Madeline #441. Can anyone post details on Madeline and add
it to the database?
Are there details for the "mini"(9ft IIRC)-Mini Steel Tug? (Links to
pics were posted by Jason)
Please help fill out the design database folks.

I'm for including even Bolger cartoons from sources such as Small Boat
Journal or MAIB or any other source. Bolger was a regular contributor to a
regional sailing magazine in the southeastern states. I can't think of the
name of it. A friend has all the old issues or at least a bunch of them.
I'll see if he's interested in contributing his time to the database project.
If someone has access to and the desire to do the research, Bolger
published designs and studies with some regularity in the National
Fisherman during the 70s at least. I read somewhere that his first
published design was in 1951.
The non completed designs ought to have something like "Study Only" in the
price field as well as in the availability field so that people who find
the perfect design will know that they need to pony up and pay for the
design to be completed to get their plans. Think of if as commissioning a
masterpiece by Micaelangelo or Buckminster Fuller or Ben Franklin.
When I get rich I'm going to build a whole slug of Bolger designs, a desire

I've been adding prices and numbers as well as doing some minor
editing to the design list in the database. Most of the information I
have gleaned from my enormous stack of _Messing About in Boats_. I
will also be adding some overlooked boats from this source, as well as
_Boat Design Quarterly_ and the old _Common Sense_ catalog. Do we want
to add concept drawings and defunct designs, as well, or only
completed and viable plans?
On a slightly related note, a couple of recent posts have implied that
the plans for "SuperBrick" have been withdrawn by Mr.Bolger. Is this a
known fact, or just a rumor? I may be totally alone in this, but I
would really like to see that monster built some day (not, I hope, by
me <g>),
