[bolger] Re; Bolger Micro Spars

Hi David,
Having seen your listing on Bolger @ egroup, I followed it through to
your web page and Micro project questions. I am happy to say that I am
in the finishing stages of my Micro, the Snow Goose, and thought I might
be of some help as to the decisions that you want to make concerning
your keel anxiety, beefing up the top, etc. As the kids say, I've been
there, done that, and if nothing else, maybe I can help keep you from
making some of the same mistakes that I have made. The good news is, I
have kept a pretty good picture record of the building processes, the
bad news is, as yet, I do not have them on my web site. I can, however
email any pics necessary, to you, in order to help get an explanation
across. In the meantime, I promise to get busy putting the pics on my
web site.
Let me warn you now, I am an, "old fashioned" boat builder. and by
today's standards, I'm sure that I am guilty of over engineering, and
over building, the Snow Goose. So just discount my excesses, and go from
there. Also, let my tell you at the start, I have ad-libbed on much of
the original design, with things like a self bailing cockpit, three
separate water tight compartments, a live aboard interior, but nothing
that changes Phil's original lines, upon which there can be no
improvement!
Best regards, Stan

PS; I am also posting this to the list, in the case that there are other
Micro builders or potential builders, that are interested in what I have
managed thus far. The offer of information applies to one and all. As
with all free information, I can guarantee it will be worth what you pay
for it. ;-)
