Noodle's polyethylene foam has good impact resistance ( it
was originally developed for packaging ) but does not abrade well.
While formerly a good alternative to other cheap foams like
styro blocks and peanuts, with higher prices, it might be
wise to compare with something better first.
However damaged though, they don't absorb water.

MONSTER NOODLES!
Yes, seen at the local once stop shopping center, they now
come with a 4.5 inch section. The one's I saw were a nice,
new shade of green. A little to big, really, for the gunnels
of a smallish boat, they might be useful somehow.
It must be spring, but at $6.99 who says there's no inflation?
