[bolger] Sprit-sail musings

The last spritsail-rigged boat we sailed was a Pete Culler SAILING
SAMPAN (11' x 52 squarefeet) built by Montgomery for Jay Oker. The
loose footed sail does of course work. But once you don't mind the
sprit's crease across the sail, another one from a spritboom (shorter)
did little harm and really helped out not worrying over down-wind
excitement. 'The bag' disappeared and twist more controllable.
Shooting it towards the sprit's snotter, the sail is much more
controllable. And another closet-pole won't hurt paying for, nor
wrapping the sail around for storage; double as boat-hook?
