The real problem is the inability to get it down, if
you got it on the way you want it, It will eventualy
harden.

There is a point below with it won't set. I know because earlier this
year I found a cup of still liquid epoxy stashed in my unheated
garage. But don't despair!
I got a little ahead of the weather earlier this week. Two my epoxy 4
days to set up, but it did. Rock hard now.
