Someone who knows will answer. Conceptualy it could
float up a fair bit under its own bouyancy.

The board should only be heavy enough to sink, and is no trouble pulling
into the case, until it swells, delaminates, warps, picks up fishing
gear, or is bent. Additionally, you can drop Chebacco's board without
hauling out. You might have to drill a 5/8 hole in the top of the case
to insert a piece of rebar to hammer it out. With a little persistence
and luck you can reinstall it while at the moor as well. I do it every
year.
