Hardy diesel outboard

Has anyone in the group had any experience with the Chinese Hardy diesel outboard?

I fitted a 12 HP Chinese diesel (Dong Feng) to my first boat many years ago replacing the original 90 HP Volvo. Once you mastered the technique of starting it - the starter motor was not powerful enough to turn the engine over - I recall it was reliable and ran smoothly using about a quart of diesel an hour.

Although these motors are big, heavy, crude and slow - bit like that marvel of American technology the Harley Davidson, like the Harley they have a certain appeal.
