Even more, one would be better being somewhere else, like ashore :) I
did have aline in the original saying "Kids!! Don't try this in your
lounge room!!!" but struck it out before posting.
No, I'm afraid conservative doesn't come into it. It's how we win races
- build up the margin on reaches then keep it by surfing on runs. In
normal (non-racing) circumstances we'd be ensuring the boat was going a
bit =slower= than the waves to keep control without sweat. I just
thought it was interesting that the fiddly steering of an immersed
sharpie bow ceases when the bow is =really= immersed. But it's also
interesting to experience first hand, at 1/20th scale, how to lose your
windjammer at Cape Horn!
