Re: Launch of the Helen P. Foster
Hi Paul
I had forgotten the Micro. I had a nice chat with him last summer.
We may have to have a Bolger photo op sometime with the three boats,
and post them here. As to the race with no motor, that would mean I
would have to install oarlocks or a mast and sail either of which
would muck up my brightwork!!! I guess we will have to suffice
making a Bolger statement on the water together!!

Hi Steve,
I saw you out on the harbor on Friday I think it was - you snuck by
Portland Yacht Services where I am building my boats. That is one
fine looking boat you have.
Sure I'll race - only rule is, no motor!
There is at least one more Bolger boat in Portland - a Micro that was
built and is owned by a man named Lee. He keeps the boat at PYS and
has stopped by and visited with me several times. He built his Micro
using no power tools.
See you on the water.
Cheers,
Paul

There is at least one more Bolger boat in Portland - a Micro that was
built and is owned by a man named Lee. He keeps the boat at PYS and
has stopped by and visited with me several times. He built his Micro
using no power tools.
See you on the water.

Paul

My Bolger Gypsy hit the water for the first time today. It floats! I
went out and about the Portland, ME harbor under oar power as the
sail rig is not yet complete (also there was a quite strong wind and
the water is very cold - no desire to swim.) She rowed very nicely
but was quite a handful in the wind. Will probably get out with the
sail rig early next week. Pictures next week, also.
I would like to thank everyone here on the list as the information
and advice given here has been very valuable to me, a first-time boat
builder.

I would like to thank everyone here on the list as the information

builder.
