Re: !7 foot Diablo Launched - Photos on Web

Also, there is an 18' version of the Diablo (Diablo Grande) available
from Payson (http://www.instantboats.com/). It is not just stretched
but also a bit wider than the original. Looks like a great boat.

She's not mine, but a good friend's project. He consulted with
PBolger and spliced 2 feet midships. It is an amazing boat on 15
hp. In a chop, the passenger moves fwd to immerse the bottom panel
and the ride at 12-13 mph is docile.

She's a beautiful Diablo, I know you'll love her a lot. How did you
stretch her to 17'? Did you increase the spacing of the frames or
splice in a 2 foot section amidships? I'd be interested to know.
Bob Vickery launched his "stretched" Diablo in Lynn Haven, FL a few days
ago, and she has exceeded all expectations. A wonderful bay boat, and Bob
knocked himself out with the details.
