Junk car batteries are too much of a hassle, and a time waster, to
recycle yourself. Plus very dangerous.

You want wheel weights. Like the kind used for tire balancing.

You can also go to a gun range and ask if you can purchase their scrap
lead.
Some of you already know that I'm a hopeless serial boat
dreamer...well I was dreaming again ... and I noticed that the
footprint of Spur II, that I am experimenting with at the moment, is
almost the same as Micro, 15'6"x4'6" vs, 15'4"x6'0" [insert Twilight
Zone music here].

What the heck; the Micro Navigator seems like just what I want! So,
I just dropped a $100 check in mail to PB&F today...

I have every intention to build it as quick and dirty and cheap as I
can get away with. Hmm, how many junk car batteries will I need to
scrounge up the lead?
