RE: [bolger] Gullapalooza Photos
Thank you for much more information than I requested.
Doesn't holding up your end of things make it even more difficult to respond
to your wife's demands in the bedroom, living room, kitchen, back seat of
the car, etc.? I speak as one who can say with pride that I am an excellent
cook, and that my skill in the kitchen was very attrractive to my wife when
first we met. She then tested my skill in the back seat of the car, the
bedroorm, motels, etc. I managed to pass these tests, but still have to
make small boats in the garage. Not a bad cunjugal compromise.

As Sue mentioned, our weather was a little cooler than expected so
our epoxy took longer to set up than our time-table allowed for. My
wife was the first to offer that perhaps we should move the jig into
the livingroom. If it weren't for the ship in a bottle problem, we
would have done it.
The topsides and masts for our Light Scooner were glued up in our
main hallway. My wife is the one who said "Send him the check. Do it
now before you have the chance to back out." when it came time to
pony up for the Insolent 60 commission. My wife has never been
anything but supportive of my boat building, (or fishing, or surfing.)
On the down side, my wife is rather demanding in the bedroom (and the
livingroom, kitchen, back-seat of the car, etc.) But it's the devil's
bargain I struck, so I try not to complain. To hold up my end of
things, I try to eat a lot of seafood, get plenty of fluids and
plenty of rest.
YIBB,
David

Excellent!
I am especially interested in the procedure for gaining permission to build
a boat in what looks like your living room. I must make do with a cramped
garage which tends to be a bit cool in the suburban Boiston winter months.
