It's quite likely that I'll be at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival
this year. Hope to see you there!

Missionaries, my Dear! Don't you realize that missionaries are the divinely
provided food for destitute cannibals? Whenever they are on the brink of
starvation, Heaven in its infinite mercy send them a nice plump missionary.

Seeing as we're into announcements, the Chebacco crowd are planning a
get-together at Port Townsend's Trad Boat Festival on the weekend of 8th
September 2000. So far, the guys who've signed up are Jamie Orr, Jim
Slakov, Chuck Merrell, Gil Fitzhugh (probably), Gary Foxall (probably) and
yours truly (certainly - even though it's 6000 miles (ish))!
Jamie's the man to contact for more details. Can we broaden the Bolgeresque
appeal?
Should be fun. Hope to meet as many of you as possible.

As I indicated yesterday the Mahone Bay Wooden Boat Festival in Nova Scotia
happens every summer starting on a Wed. in the last week of July and running
through the weekend. Last summer the event ran from July 28 throuhg Aug.1.
My guess is that MBWBF 2000 will run July 26-30. To be sure check their
website as the summer approaches:http://fox.nstn.ca/~mahonbay/mbwbf.html.
The current site needs to be updated, but the posted info will give you an
idea of what to expect.
You can probably get info re. registration, events, etc. by email:

If people from this list attend these various events through the coming
season we should devise some kind of identifying sign. Something like a
day-glo pendant on a pole attached to our hats with "Bolger list" printed on
it. Or if we wanted to be more subtle we could just walk with a slight lean
to one side...as in walk with a list... Sorry about that.
Phil Lea, if you're so inclined to make the journey I hope Shoe String will
accompany you. Would be nice to introduce a JB class to the event. Not to
mention a JB with real class.
