Re: Plans?

Diablo's full building plans are to be found in the New Instant
Boats. The techniques are covered there also. It is explicit, as I
remember it, that you can build from the book, and are encouraged to
buy the plans if you need the larger format. That is the marketing
strategy, and I'm holding them to it.

Sneakeasy has never been published in full, but it could be
assembled, since various book references give away all the lines.
And it is so simple, they could be scaled. Though in this case I
would feel required to buy them myself.

I don't know what CSD's position is. The assembled comments seem to
suggest that they have a difference of opinion. He may or may not
correspond with you if you get your plans there, though he has with
me. The fact is that there isn't any real reason to write Bolger
for suport about any of the well known square boats, unless you need
a modification. They are extremely simple, and the best details
aren't in the plans anyway.

Cost wise, check Payson, or the public domain first if you want to
get his plans.
I think you can get those plans at Dynamite Payson's website

His mailing address is in the files section as well as at the bottom
of many posts.

To order plans online go to:

http://www.instantboats.com

You will also need Dynamite Payson's book which describes the
building processes that are used.

If you type Bolger Boats into a search engine you will get enough
links to keep you busy until Monday!

Common Sense Boats have a design catalogue for the line they sell
which includes some Bolger boats. But I don't know what the legal
status of that seller is at present. Anybody know??

Could someone post Mr. Bolgers address so I may obtain plans? Does he
have a design catalog or do we just write to him and tell him what
plans we would like?
I've found in my time spent perusing the groups posts that Phil
Bolger designs begin to grow on you and you acquire an affection for
them. It's somewhat unexplainable. Right now I'm torn between the
Diablo Grande and the Sneakeasy. Obviously two entirely different
boats both in functionality and appearance.
The Diablo would meet all of my fishing and hunting needs while the
Sneakeasy would meet limited fishing needs but enhance my cruising
needs. Such a dilema.
