[bolger] Re: SV: SV: WDJ I've started, have ?S

Amazingly video arrived today! Actually may have arrived a couple of days
ago. My wife pointed out to me that a parcel from PCB&Friends had evidently
been siting on the back seat of the truck for a least the last three days. A
family member obviously checked the mail, found the parcel and tossed it in
the back and forgot about it. No one of course is admitting this, knowing
how eager I was to get it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the viewing. Having grown up in Texas I can almost feel
the heat searing my flesh. Found myself actully concerned for Susanne's
safety, knowing how quickly the dessert heat can do you in.

Bjorn, I envy your progess. Maybe you can capture some north Atlantic
footage this summer. I'll be lucky to be building by then.

Please confirm if I have this right: by not letting the ends touch the floor (or ground) do you mean that the bottoms-up bottom is sort of draped over something that's high enough to keep the ends from touching down?

---Exactly. Block the assembly up in the middle (i.e. slightly > 18 inches).

Is there danger of over exaggerating the rocker?

----Probably. Ergo: do not block it up more than necessary to keep the ends "free".

...And while I'm asking questions, how can you be working under a tree in the winter at the Scandinavian lattitude? Such prospects are out of the question in east coast Canada.

---Well, it is not possible in freezing Oslo either. I haven't touched the boat since primo November. However, having moved into a new house I am now able to put together all the "small" parts in my cellar/basement (rudder, skeg, leeboards etc).

Bjorn, hungrily awaiting the launch of MY schooner....
