Re: [bolger] More Toby Tales (Tails?)

That must be it. I am afraid neither my boat's hull
nor mine is any longer quite fair. Sam

Maybe if you had a boat as pretty as Toby the Gull...

Wow! I never get any strippers of any size swimming
around my boat. The best I've ever done was a couple
of medium-size floozies and a large cocktail waitress.

I'm working on a WTC oriented doc. tough stuff sometimes, especially
when the sun is out and the fish are biting.

More than once, when I couldn't "blow off" the rest of the day,
posting a little rememberence or reading a daydream on this list was
therapy enough.

It's all good, isn't it? And me here pecking at the computer... You've
inspired me to blow off work for the rest of the day and drag Mr. Moon down
to the lake for some therapy!

I got into some bass fishing last week that I simply couldn't
believe. Huge strippers swimming around the boat, under the boat,
practically into the boat. Probably caught 10 legal sized fish (28"
or better). A few shorts and blues through in for good measure.

Could there be anything better than rowing a dory you built yourself
out into aquamarine water and then being surrounded by eagerly
feeding fish 5-15 pounds? Even managed to surf a wave onto the beach
coming back in.

I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled with my Gull. I had the plans for
it for 3 years before putting it together. Why I waited so long I
don't know. If any of you are contemplating building a Light Dory, do
it! You won't regret it!

David
