More good pics! I admit the first 3 or so had me laughing something fierce,
especially the on with the sail weathervaned forward. It reminded me of my
first sail on my first "owned" boat, an Oday 222 (and my wife's very first
sail ever); We went out in about 15 knots, it built to 20. My wife started
getting scared and I tsk, tsked her by explaining I would just pull on the
nice reefing line in the main and we'd stop heeling so much. she looks up
at the main and goes "WHAT ROPE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?". I looked up (while
heeling at about 45 degrees) and sure enough the previous owner had never
rigged the reefing line. and I went out in a new boat w/o checking.
Those first three pictures had that same feeling of intense discussion prior
to a debacle.
BTW, following the thread about fiberglass centerboards-almost all the small
Hunter/Oday clorox bottles had centerboards made this way. Two molded
halves with a balsa core, just like production rudders.
