Re: pictures added to photo section (Micro)
I am staying with the fore and aft bunks on the trailer. The weight
of the boat is sitting primarily on the keel rollers, the bunks are
just keeping her from tipping over. The bunk also is intersecting a
bulkhead. ON the interior, the sleeping berths have been glassed in
for additional strength (although the real purpose was to created dry
storage). The bottom is 2 layers of 1/4" ply with a layer of 6 oz
glass set in epoxy. If I see any distortion of the bottom, I will
change the set up.
Now to actually float her.

David,
Congratulations! Firefly looks great!
Are you planning on leaving her sitting on the trailer with those
stock for-aft "bunks"? I did that for a year with my sharpie, but
changed to perpendicular bunks because it caused too much stress on
the bottom.

Tomorrow is launch day. I have finished the exterior to a point that
Micro is sailable. I will install the floatation and bunks prior to
our time on the cape. (the floatation might go in tomorrow before
launching, but I am getting itchy to see her on the water). New
photos have been added to the Firefly folder in the photos section.

Micro is sailable. I will install the floatation and bunks prior to
our time on the cape. (the floatation might go in tomorrow before
launching, but I am getting itchy to see her on the water). New
photos have been added to the Firefly folder in the photos section.
Happy Sailing,
