folding your schooner
folding and unfolding wasn't too bad . Remember that this was the
first time for both. I reckon my for'ard hull is probably on the
heavy side also
when unfolding Bolger suggests to let the rear hull move away , but
we found it better to hold the stern initially till the midpoint was
reached, then let it go . My 10 yr old was stong enough to do this.
When folding i think the most important thing would be to verbally
synchronise your efforts.
when we originally folded the boat on the trailer we had a mast and
pulley set up alongside the boat. i wasnt very happy with this set
up, and would avoid it if possible.
I will be selective in my launch sites in future. I suspect a
steep,windy ramp with chop would be trouble wether folded or not.
