NNNNooooooooooooo!
CSD, aka "Crooks Stealing Designs" has infiltrated my beloved
Kanukistan?
Say it ain't so!
And if it's truce call in the Stealth bombers, the LGB's, the GPS
guided Better Business detectives, call in Dudley Dooright of the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police, heck, sick Boris & Natasha on them!
Run them to Mexico on a rail.
Do NOT buy anything from CSD, ever, for any reason. They don't
deliver and the plan quality sucks and IMHO they're Tea-Totaling
crooks.

I was just looking at the Portland Skiff page on the Common Sense
site and was amazed that they make it sound as if it was their own
design. The lines they show are of BOLGER'S Portland Skiff that
Wolfard used to sell until his big falling out with PCB&F. How are
they getting away with this? It seems lke pure plagarism to me.

Looking here
http://www.instantboats.com/diablog.htm
and here
http://www.common-sense-boats.com/boats/Power_Boats/skifflines/Skifflines.htm
shows DG to be a little narrower on the bottom and to have a little less flare in the
upper sides. Otherwise they're very similar.
Looks like a handsome, proto Skiff's been built.
One other difference: Payson's asking $40; Mr. Estes, $125.

I see CSB has re-introduced the "Portland Skiff" to its line. The
new version is made from plywood instead of aluminium as the
original offering was.
To my eyes, the "Portland Skiff" and the "Diablo Grande", that
Harold Payson offers, look to be the same hull with different deck
arrangements. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have the
plans for both and made a comparison?
