It was more trouble to (not) loft than I had planed for, but no bad
surprises either. I did consider lofting it in Plyboats, but the
fact that the maximum width and depth do not coincide was an issue.

I didn't want the boat to get shorter, so I did take the minimum
steps necesary to ensure that the sides are the right length for the
new width, and I did pull new bevels and so forth.

My situation was made (maybe) easier since I have plans for Anhinga,
which is built to these proportions, those plans are nearly visible
in the files somewhere.

I think the easiest thing would have been to have drawn it an inch or
two to a foot, and create working drawings, the lines are so simple
it would have probably been easier to pull measurements off a drawing
than to have synthed things back and fort between 4 scales.

There is a surprising amount of force required to bend the sides (I
left the rub rail off until bent), and I would not want to just bend
the ply around the main frame and then fit the other two frames. You
would not get the nice arcs of the double ender shape viewed from the
top. By scaling the frames, you punch out the shape nicely when they
are inserted.

This is a very easy boat to build.

I suspect my shoulders might not fit either, but I did not yet want to
experience the let-down of measuring
to see.

Did you start with a 29.5" center frame and build front and rear frames to
fit?
Any other changes?

I am finishing up Fat Eeek.

It is pretty clear in 30 odd, that this boat is desperately unstable,
and on top of that, my shoulders are broader than the allowable
space. Further I am building it as a test of the larger Anhinga,
which has the fat proportions, though the even larger 36 footer does
not. You can't get the Fat Eeek out of 2 sheets of ply. Fat Eek is
identical to Eeek, except for 30" width, but it isn't a Bolger
design. Basicaly if anything good happens with my boat, its his
glory, if anything bad happens its my fault;0) Anyone else tries it
at their own risk. Once I get paint on, I will post photos.

My new obsession is EEEK!
I am curious if anyone has built one.
I searched the Bolger group and found a few messages about Fat EEEK!
