I'm not sure about trailering. On the one hand, this boat is around
7,000 lbs dry which means you need a very serious tow vehicle. On the
other, her shape and size mean she's not a "wide load" by highway
regulations, and the flat bottom makes designing a trailer fairly
simple. I don't plan on trailering. I'll higher a flatbed to get her
to the marina on launch day, and keep her right there on blocks &
jackstands in the winter.

I like the shallow draft and folding masts as I plan to cruise the
canals and lakes in upstate NY, and maybe the Intercoastal Waterway.
And the queen sized bed appeals to my girlfriend. So it seems the
perfect choice for me.

Good luck with your decision, and your project.

trailered.
I'll be interested in how your progresses. Yes, to the pictures, too.

There's a folder in the photo section of this group entitled "AS 29
Pictures", could be the perfect home for more AS 29 shots, what?
I'd love to see them also.

Please do!

Wow! We did it.
A group of friends gathered at the barn yesterday and the result is my
AS-29 is now right side up.
The process, which I had agonized over all week, actually went much
more smoothly than I had thought. Many hands make light work, I guess.

It now is really starting to look like a boat, instead of a
copper-colored camel hump. The interior spaces can all be identified.
It actually feels roomier than the 45-footer I had a few years ago.
The plum topsides really make a difference.

I have a few pics. If there's any interest, I'll post them.

If anyone else is thinking of, or building an AS-29, I can now offer
solid, proven advice on how to do the roll-over.
