My favorite BCD, or sorts, based on long range reconnaissance in the
pages of WD is the Energy 48. The 3x stretched Appledory. Designed

I was going to mention the 50' Parker dory, but I see someone else has. To
add a few more to the list, there are big ones (~80') by both Dave Gerr and
Bill Garden. There were also a few large (45') dories in the stuff that used
to be sold by Capt. Jim Orrell, the Texas Dories man. I think Dynamite Payson
has some of these plans available. In smaller sizes, there are the St.Pierre
Dories, there are several plans in the 27' range by Glen-L, the late John
Gardner, and others.
