Re: Boxes of magazines
Bolgerista's, I want to thank Dick Pilz. My brother in law Ron has
picked up the boxes of magazines. I am going to look through them all
and place anything Bolger for this forum. I will also post a list of
all the publications and can copy articles that individuals request.
I think I might start a group just so we don't fill up the space on
the Bolger forums for things about other boats.
Ron(my brother in law)works for a warehouse that makes daily
delivery to Klamath Falls so I should see them by Friday or before.
It is a five and one half hour drive from Portland, Oregon to Klamath
Falls. I will try to make my scanner available to all requests within
reason. I don't know yet what I am getting but bless Dick because Tom
Peterson says "free is a very good price"!

Dick,
I'm not in your neck of the woods, but I'd be happy to take what Harry doesn't, especially of SBJ. I could pay for shipping and something for your trouble. I'm the informal "documentarian" of our local boat building community and am growing a community boat building program too. The kids pour over our old books and magazines...
Add me to your list of "considerees"....
thanks...

I have a 2/3 complete collection of Small Boat Journal that I would like
to round out. I would be willing to pay for issues I don't have. As far
as this being a good home for them, rest assured that I am a library to
the informally organized Juneau boatbulders (were not amateurs anymore).

Bruce, I am afraid it is already much too late! I just received my
second copy of MAIB yesterday and I was having withdrawals because I
thought it was late. Our local library doesn't have "ANY" Bolger
books so I have to order PCB&F books from an inter-library exchange
that may or may not have them because their record keeping is done by
volunteers. I volunteer my time sometimes but I am computer literate.
I have already been threatened with divorce because I moved my wife
from our large house in town to our cabin on the lake that is
surrounded by my boats. I also have a couple RV trailers. She thinks
that I am building a very large garage( bow roof shed covered with
ferro cement covering)when in actuality it will be for building my
boat projects.
I can't wait till I can move around and work again. This will be my
second back surgery and my fourth knee surgery. If I build a big
enough boat I'll just give up and cruise around the world. I am very
blessed in that I never get sea sick. I just hope my wife doesn't it
would be a shame if she stayed at home(LOL).

recovering or otherwise have a lot of time on your hands. Until I was
at home with the world-wide-waste of time recovering from heart

I'll be in Portland on Monday night next week. I'd love to take some SBJ's
with a promise that I'll make them available to the group again when I'm
through.

I live in Klamath Falls, OR. but I have two brother inlaws that live
in Portland. I could have one of them swing by and pick them up. I
promise I will scan all Bolger articles and boats that are not
posted. I can share with everyone and have a couple scanners and a
complete digital photography studio I can take photo's of articles
that don't scan so well. It would be good therapy for me also since I
am waiting for knee and back surgery this fall. That is the reason I
am not building a boat right now. You can email direct at cupp at
kfalls dot net If I put the correct way it won't post it so put in
the @ and a (.) Please contact me because it won't give me your email
address.

Would you ship them if I paid you for shipping plus your time? I love
reading boat magazines and the winters here are really long.
Thanks
