Messabout Sunday the 25th at Vancouver Lake
Messabout Sunday, August 25th at the Vancouver Sailing Club, on Vancouver
Lake, starting about 11:00 AM. You can find a map at the sailing club site:
http://www.vlsc.org/map.htm
but here are some directions (thanks to Steve Miller, whose guests we'll be):
I-5 North through Vancouver to 78th St.
Exit at 78th and go Left (west) until you hit Fruit Valley Road.
At that point you will have to turn so go Left (South) since 78th ends at
Fruit Valley.
Take the next right - its down a mile or so - on Whitney (I think). It is a
HARD right so swing wide. Follow that until you see the boats. No other
turns.
The club is down at the end of the road past the little par 3 golf course.
The club is maybe 10 minutes from the freeway.
The gate will be closed but unlocked. Pull through the gate and close it
behind you. Park up by the club house along the road or on the grass just
east of the clubhouse so you don't block access to the boats stored at the
club just in case someone else comes to sail that day.
Should be fun! Bring your own beer and lunch. As I said there are bbq's
and a full kitchen available.

Nobody ought to wear a Greek fisherman's hat unless
they meet two conditions:
1. He is a Greek
2. He is a Fisherman <Roy Blount Jr.>
