Re: [bolger] perfect sail
During the summer we often vacation in Wildwood, NJ. The 80 ft. Schooner
Yankee is located there and once again I went aboard for a short cruise just
off shore. We went out into the channel through a drawbridge and then into
the Atlantic, turning right and heading out along the coast of Cape May.
Dolphins played along side the boat as we made our way. Once we turned around
and headed back, we were on a slightly broader reach with a fresh breeze and
that boat just sang! I told the Captain that of the four times I had gone out
on the Yankee, this was the finest hour and a half yet experienced.

I love that definition, I am going to have to remember that :) Will be
laughing the rest of the day over that!

Had an almost perfect sail last night, perfect wind, not to hot, sunset,
full moon coming out just as the sun went down, quiet, fish jumping, no
water roaches, wind stead and mostly from one direction, riding the slot to
windward less than 100 feet from the shore for miles. Sweet.
