In Praise of Slow Resin

Fellows --

I finally got around to glassing my second Gull today, and all I can
say is slow resin is my friend.

It's sunny and dry at about 80 degrees. My batches ranged from 6-12
ounces, and not once did I have an "oh no, it's starting to kick"
moment. Plenty of time to got back in and fix mistakes. Whatever time
I spent waiting for it to harden I'm sure will be more than made up
for in the time I won't spend fixing mistakes after the fact.

If you have been frustrated trying to get good results by feeling the
pressure of a hot batch going off in your had, give slow hardener a
try. As long as you're not in a hurry, I'm sure you like the results.
