Re: A Treasure trove of Bolger drawings and opinions.
Yes but I am still going through literally years of magazines and I
haven't compiled a list of Bolger boats yet let alone read about all
of them. I haven't noticed any one sheet plans but there are some
light boats. I have seen some small overnite camp boats but can't
name them off the top of my head. My wife and I have run into a snag
with our network when changing from a hub to a switch. already ridded
ourselves of the hub and having to send back a new switch. I am able
to go on the web with only one computer at a time and I can't access
my scanners or printers or my main hard-drives on our server. We will
fix this soon. Sorry for the hold up.

Hi,
Are there any one sheet style boats (read "light", easy to
lift/transport)? How about any minimalist overnight type boats, ala
the GP-16 or Gypsy Poke?
Thanks

Post away! I was thinking of adding all I had, which is from BWAOM,
Bolger Boats and three years of MAIB subscription to my website and
promoting it as a Bolger temple, but I'm frustrated in not finding 30
Odd Boats, Different Boats plus all those old articles from SBJ and
the Rudder.
Phil loves to see his designs published, it encourages sales of plans
and it's darn good free marketing. All that stuff is public domain
anyway. None of the larger boats can be built from the scans. A few
of the smaller ones could be (Brick, Yellow Leaf, Skimmer, etc., but
all these exist in buildable form in public domain stuff already so I
do think we'd be creating a problem.

Hello all my Bolgerista friends. Some of you know but others may not
know that I have had the good fortune to receive an almost complete
collection of Small Boat Journals, The Wooden Boat and a small
collection of MAIB's. I am elated and also I want to share this good
fortune. I have seen Bolger concepts and drawings that I never knew
existed. Boats such as a Staysail only Daysailer, a high speed stern
wheeler that could travel at 20+ mph and a huge scow schooner.
This is not a complete collection with some issues missing but they
have many Bolger articles. What I will ask now is if it is against
any law to reproduce and post these on our forum file section? There
is a complete set of plans for the Sneakeasy and a complete building
guide for the Gloucester Gull. My wife is now reconfiguring our
computer network to make it easier to copy and upload to the file
section. The collection even has excerpts from Mr Bolgers novels if
some of you would be interested. Maybe I could post a boat a week and
have polls on what boat you Bolgerista want. I know that others have
these collections and probably think I am being a bit over the edge
on this but they are right and I am excited. I also have two
duplicates of Wooden Boats and one duplicate of a Small Boat Journal.
I want to spread the information with the group and I am having
hours of excellent reading. Give me good ideas folks and this can be
a mutual windfall for all of us.
