Re: Pointer followed Blacksnake

There was a MAIB article on Blacksnake within the last two years,
approx. She was a double-ended sharpie about 30' long, as I recall.
Typically low-sided and over-rigged. She was very light because
Bolger designed her with a simplified construction plan. After a year
or so, he had the bottom thickened with 2x4's to add ballast effect.

Trying to stay on topic, I notice from re-reading the
PB&F article in MAIB V20#1 that PCB writes "Pointer
followed Blacksnake as my own boat, built in 1960 for
study and experience."

Pointer is famous, as the precedence for all the
Bolger boxes that followed.

What was Blacksnake? Was it of his design?
Has he written about Blacksnake somewhere?
Was it also a sharpie? It isn't in the
database.
