sheets of plastic...free

This wont apply to most of you buttnis is where I get sheets of
tough plastic for skids.
Our local bulk oil distributers have 1000litre plastic cubes that
sit in a steel cage. When some dill of a storeman or truck driver
holes one, or drops one they are removed from the cage and put in the
corner of the yard . They have to be cut open and steam cleaned
before they can be disposed of. they also have to pay for the
disposal as they cant recycle the stuff. When i see them in yards I
go in and offer to get rid of them for free . When you cut them up
you get 4 or 5 900mm x900mm sheets of 1/8 thick skid plates. 1 box
has lasted me over 5 years and i have 2 sides free to a good home to
anybody in West australia. I often drill it with a hole saw to make
brilliant non-squeek/ rattle washers.
just a thought for the financially strapped builders out there. (
