Re: Idaho plans for sale

Hi Linc
I drew them using the Sneakeasy line drawing and revising it using
Microsoft Paint(part of Windows). I made the temporary out of 1/4
luan and 1x2 frames, it is very light but quite strong. I'll make
the permanent of luan, I love the stuff, covered in fiberglass and
epoxy. Windage is an issue and a skeg may help, good idea! I try
to plan my approach with the wind pushing me to the dock, works ok so
far! It is much more comfortable now without the spray on my face and
the chill that is already in the breeze I don't feel!

That looks really fun. Did you do those drawings or are they from
Bolger? If you can keep it really light and make those windows open in
July, I bet it will be much more suited to your Maine environment,
plus saving on sunscreen. Maybe you need a little skeg or something
due to increased windage when docking?

Wow Steve! Is that sketch your Sneak or the Idaho, either way I hope
you're keeping the construction very light.
Hi Steve
I made no changes that would affect the performance. I did put in an
internal keelson to make the bottom a little stiffer. Because of the
short season here in Maine I have made a hard sedan cover for the
cockpit area with side glass, etc., it is a lot warmer also. It is
temporary but I will rebuild it this winter. The profile now looks
like Wyoming. I will be adding a trunk cabin forward of the
windshield about 6 feet in addition to the sedan hardtop over the
cockpit. It will be more versatile making the forward area useable
while now it is very difficult for me to get in there. I'll post a
drawing in Bolger 2 in my Sneakeasy folder. Good luck with your
project, if I can be of ongoing help please feel free to contact me
