There is no point trying to hide in bed. Your luck will be rewarded:

1) all those candy bars will give you tooth decay and a great big dentist's
bill;

2) your friend's wife will never forgive you for the loss of her carport;

3) your friend will blame you for his loss of domestic comfort;

4) your wife will ally with your friend's wife to make your life miserable as
your yard fills up with great baulks of timber;

5) the town council will cite you for running an non-permitted lumber yard;

6) and etc., etc.

It will all even out, at best. I checked Nostradomus (sic?) on this.

Hey Chuck, I think I see some potential for "site content" here.

By the way, if anyone in the Connecticut area would like some chunks
of maple, I've got about 20 18" sections of 18" diameter tree.
Freshly cut: the tree blew down on my house on 9/11/2002.

Think of all the cleats you could carve.

Today at the local tip I spyed a log Of DF in the stump PILE.
It wwas some 100 year old CLEAR df 11" x11" by 17 1/2 feet
long!!!!!!!.
Piad AUS$50 for it . Happy days or what.
I was havig troubl getting it on my trailer when a truck with a hiab
crane pulled up and offered to lift it on .
He then told me how he'd only dropped it off the day before. Then He
asked " would i like the other beamS as well!!!. It turned out the
were beams supporting an overhead crane in a 100 yr old shed only
300m from whereI live.
It got better when he explained that more beams were to come down.
Some were Jarrah , a much prized hardwood, but some were PINE rubbish
and they were having to pay to get rid of them . I left the kind
gentleman with a map of my yard and a key to the beer fridge so well
see what happens .
And all of this before lunch. The afternoon flew by and later I had
to deliver a load of manure to a house. As I drove down the street
looking at numbers i spied a old dinghy on a shed roof. As I always
do I went up , knocked on the door and said hello and would they like
to sell the boat. It was a 13' GRasshopper. a lightweight skiff with
huge sails and kite. and 2 hiking planks , circa early 70's ?.
Any way the lady said she would appreciate it if I took it for
free!. In return I filled my trailer with a good load of tree
cuttings from her yardto clean it up (this also made a good bed
fer the boat.)
next i drove to a friends house. he needs a boat real bad. So I said
to him "first refusal, yes or no?" its now in hished, well his wifes
carport actually. on trestles with a sander on top.
Youd think that a blokes would run out about now but as I got out of
my truck this morning I found a $2.oo coin . Ibought a chocolate bar
which was running a 'FREE BAA'S ' competition And won a free bar.
That rapper also won a free bar!!. the next wrappoer Won a free bar
As well.
So my problem is this . After 2 days like that surely tommorow.
Somebody is going to run into me, or steal my truck. or get caught
speeding, not stopping and not signalling properly , and not wearing
a saetbelt.
DO I just stay in bed or what?
cheers Paul
