There is a photo of "Lockpat II" on page 168 of D.W. Fostle's "Speedboat"
book. The caption describes it a 40 footer, powered by a 650 hp. Packard
V-12, with a top speed of 60 mph., used by the owner a 40 mile commute from
his home (location not given) to Detroit. It was designed by Hacker. It has
the same "streamlined" styling that "Baby Bootlegger" has, but it is
proportionally longer and lower than "BB". IMHO, "Rainbow IV", pp. 164-165,
is better looking than either of the others.

In his book 'boats with an open mind', at the chapter of the
sneakeasy, M. Bolger mentions of course 'baby bootlegger' as a
source but tells us that there has been an other design like this,
even more beautiful, called 'locpat'.
Have anyone heard about ?
I searched the web with a metecrawler, but found only stuff about
fortran language ;-( when using locpat as keyword...
If you know of a site where there might be pictures, feel free to
tell ;-))
