[bolger] This is my quest...

FBBB --

An unexpected, but not unwelcome result of seeing the voyage of the
Floating Neutrinos is that my wife (a nice neighborhood girl from
Flatbush,) sees this whole "boating" thing as something regular folks
can do if they just get up and do it.

We've sized up a Montauk to NYC cruise as a diversion this Summer.
We're planing to travel the South Shore, most in the protected waters
of the Great South Bay, with the occasional outside hop to avoid
bridges and narrow channels.

I've got a real sweet-spot for Parker's New Haven sharpie. I love the
long low lines and rounded stern. The only sharpies you see around
here anymore are rather crude clamboats. Skimming across the Southbay
in a New Haven would just feel right, and there's a lot of inside
water on this coast!

Have any of you all build from Parker's plans? Not quite as easy as
the prelofted instant boats I suppose, but it doesn't *look* much
harder?

Of course, there's always the doubled LS! I expect Parker's chine and
sheer dimensions for a similar boat would do the trick ;-) We'll
have our newf sit on a hiking board to keep her flat!
