Cruising Canoe, Cartoon 21

A few days back someone asked about
the Cruising Kayak, and this got me
thinking about another PCB 'kayak';
found in the 1985 Small Boat Journal
cartoon #21, this one with an Hawaiian
outrigger.

PCB:

"I see no point in a kayak
unless it's light enough to
pick up and walk some dis-
tance and to put on a car rack
single-handed without pulling
a muscle. "

I scanned the 1985 article and put
it at URL:

I found the PCB commentary about
this boat to be very interesting
because he also writes 'epilogues'
about the afterlife of Kotick, Eeek,
and the 'Minimum Kayak'; plus his
design values for small paddle
powered boats, of which he clearly
has given *very much* thought.
