[That, I understand, is not considered
to be 'fair use' of the copyright.]
In short, a picture and paragragh
describing each design. [That, in my
opinion, easily falls within copyright
'fair use' guidelines]. And judging
from the weekly requests 'round here
for an online Bolger catalogue; an
online illustrated index would be greatly
used and appreciated.
With...the goal to also include, criticism
(and praise) and URL references to websites
of builders of the boats showcasing the
successes (and failures) with design modifications.
Another thing worthwhile, [being as most
every builder has a short list of correspondence
with PCB] asking and answering questions about
the design. These 'off-line' PCB writings [a FAQ]
about his boat designs could and should be collected
and posted for other builders to share and learn.
For this to be really effective, the Bolger/
Bolger2/Bolger3 file structure could benefit
from some sort of 'plan' or structure. If
nothing else, we should create an 'html'
index of the Bolger Groups' files. We need
a volunteer librarian!

what book is there out there that would help the most building a phil
bolger design? thanking all of you again. chuck
I have built three Bolger designs (Gypsy, Chebacco and Nymph) and I
think Harold Payson's books are great - I have The New Instant Boats
and swear by it (not at it) The Nymph I built from the plans in the
book with no problem whatsoever. (Harold, Philip - I owe you one)

Ned,
I have all except Different Boats, I borrowed DB from Interlibrary loan
program.
I went to the copy center (Kinkos) and copied the whole book, cost was less
than
$10 and took about 30 minutes. Beats $60-100 for a used copy, with no
benefits going to
the copyright holders.
promising to buy my own copy as soon as the next printing comes out,

Ahoy Group,
I'm attempting to gather in the four previous Bolger volumes,
including 100 Rigs, through PA's interlibrary loan. If successful,
any requested designs that should be posted in the Files section?
