Air Boats use UHMW for a full bottom skid and they are driven across
wet grass and parking lots to get from the water to the trailer.

For the person looking for the small first sailboat, I would recommend Dave Carnell's slightly modified version of Bolger's Featherwind. Bolger approved Dave's mods. Carnell's plans package for this boat is only $20 and includes lots of general info. Dave has his own web site and his e-mail isdavecarnell@....
