[bolger] Re: June Bug question
Good question. I primarily use forward sockets for lashing in mast partner. Optimum rowing is definately with one person, period. I do find having person (or large dog) in the stern beneficial if there is a 2nd rower. She's pretty quick with an experienced, light weight oarsperson at forward station and a light weight person at tiller, with me at the centre station.

there is a forward rowing station. If there are two people in the boat
and they both are rowing, their weight would be pretty far forward.
Would that put the stem into the water? Aren't boats of this shape
supposed to keep their stems out of the water?
Or is that forward rowing station only supposed to be used when there
is a passenger on the after thwart?
