Is this a nymph? Been a while since I rowed mine. The nice detail I
saw on a Payson executed dorry was a series of little fillet stick
sized pieces, the lowest you think will work tacked onto the side.
If you find when rowing that you are presing the outside of your feet
against the sides of the boat, then this is the one for you. Might
not work on the Nymph think it does work on the Elegant Punt. The
good thing about this system is minimum clutter, and you can pick up
whatever set of cleats that works well when youget the boat trimed
properlu from the center seat.

Bruce,
You can make whatever kind you like; here are some ideas:
One inch square 4-6" long sticks glued to the bottom near the chine -
Put them at a slight angle, not straight across, round edges, and put on
2 or 3 sets for different rowers/different positions.
Narrow thwartships plank or dowel, held by a fore and aft rack at each
chine. This type is easy to adjust.
Small box, with a comfortably sloped side facing you, held to rowing
thwart by a rope at each side. Easy to adjust, and you can store stuff
in it, mount a compass on it, or build in a drink holder. You can also
move it if you want a smooth floor to lie on.
Good luck,
Ford Walton

Thanks to everybody for the advice on oar locks. I've decided to use
Thole pins, tapered slightly and attached to the boat with a short
length of line.
One more thing, FOOT RESTS!! Again this is something the plans discuss
as far as placement, but that's it. I understand the need for foot
rests, but what do they look like? Is it just a fixed cleat
athwarships? Or a plank held in a slot on either side? Or should I just
shape two blocks of wood, and glue them to each side??
THANKS in advance. :)
