Once again, I am impressed at
wonderful simplicity of
the Bolger Micro.
EF Schumaker wrote of this
concept in his book _Small
is Beautiful_
http://www.schumachersociety.org/fritzbio.html
For instance, the Micro hull actually
fits in my garage, with enough room
to spare for a 4x8 sheet of plywood
on sawhorses for cutting!
Also, I can still turn the hull
on it's side single handed!
...and
I recently learning that I will
get a job transfer to the 'South
of Market' area in San Francisco.
[away from the el-cheapo marina
moorage next to my present job
in Richmond]. I anxiously
checked on the 'wait list' for
marina slips near my new job
location at the South Beach
Marina [next to Pac Bell Park].
Wait list:
Eight years for 50' boats,
Three years for 25-35' slips.
No wait for boats under 20 feet!!!
And more...
they charge $10 a foot for the big boats
and only $5.50 a foot for small boats (under 20 feet).
I like my 15 1/2 foot Micro more and more ever day.
