In fact I had choosed to built the Idaho 31, it seemed to be a
project with no big challenges. I have already purchased 25 sheets
of 1/2" ply, but now I am not sure that it is the boat for me, I
don´t think it so useable as I had dreamed of. The Wyoming is the
dreamboat, but too big for me. After I have seen two designs
Champlain and Topaz I think now they have all I need, are they
complicated to built ( I am a novice builder) I think most of the
box keel? The weight of the Topaz is less than the Champlain, does
anybody knows how many sheets of ply those two designs will need for
construction? I have seen some very beautyfull examples of the
Champlain on the web, but I can´t find something on Topaz. I have
calculated aprox. 200 hours to built the Idaho 31, I know that
Champlain and Topaz is much more work, but how much. I will be very
glad for some inputs and answers.
