I just finished Mr. White's article myself.
I have to agree on a lot of what he said but it would never stop me from
building out of plywood.
He just failed to bring up the positives of plywood contruction with speed
of building on the top of list.
Availability of good lumber is not easy to find and when it is, the price it
out of sight for most of us builders.
Building a boat for a customer where you getting paid for you labor, the
cost of materials becomes a smaller part of the over all budget.
If it wasn't for plywood, I could not afford the Wyo. That's the reality of
building in plywood in my case. Enjoy the boat or enjoy dreaming about it
only.
