Dear Members,
I am new at this. I found your group when trying to research
the origin of my boat. I have owned the boat for twelve years.
The boat is 43 ft. at the water line. It is 45 ft loa. It is a wood
single screw trawler type design. The paper work I have indicates
two builders. The first is Phillip Bolger. The second Calif. DMV
registration says VLMILLS.
I was told that the boat sat in a yard for several years. My
thoughts
are that it was built from Bolger designs. It has a huge keel which
protects the prop and rudder.
I will be taking the boat from Long Beach, CA to the San Juan Islands
in May. I would like to get it Coast Guard Certified for charter. I
need to document that the boat was made in the United States.
Can anyone help?
Capt. Craig
