I just have to jump in whenever its about Chebaccos....
I made my own ports, there's a description, with a picture, in
Chebacco News 34 -- the last of the "old articles" at www.chebacco.com
Concerning the aluminum mast, would that be strong enough unstayed,
or would it bend/break where it goes through the cabin top? There's
quite a strain there, I can see my four inch thick spruce take a nice
curve in a breeze.
