Canoe Sailing. Dinghy Sailing Info

The A'stern Shore's own ... Canoe Sailing Resources has now
been updated to version 2003. It covers open canoe sailing,
decked canoe sailing, and kayak sailing.

Many new links. Includes a link to a 1954 RUDDER article by the
excellent Percy Blandford on a small dinghy rig - rigging the
generic dinghy to sail about in. The ideas are adaptable to a
canoe, of course.

The small boat and canoe parts of Warren Miller's ca 1919 book
are now available and linked to Canoe Sailing Resources 2003.

Please report any real strange stuff or mis-spellings. The
images are relatively large at this stage (in file size) and will be
compressed more -- so some pages load a little slowly. The
original images are really grainy and I did my best on 'em.

The info he gives on spars and sails is pretty good and more
detailed than you usually see. Since the info appeared ca
1910-11 in magazines it's a good bet that this is an example of a
practical early-1900s rig which looks adaptable to modern
materials.
