Re: cheap rope, was Micro Navigator
The ebay seller is in Covington GA. I think he's the same guy that sells at the flea market up the road from us. This
fellow has all kinds of rope, prices are good and he seems like a decent sort. You may be able to buy directly from him.

I presume by around the aft deck, you mean lead under it, and
through the bulkhead? That is what I am doing. And making sure they
lead uphill so water does not run into the cabin.
Yes, the plan shows the mainsheet cutting right across the aft deck
at waist height, which would be dangerous. I am hoping to also lead
that under the deck.

The aft lines have to deal with fouling the
afterdeck, [I took your advice and increased

mizzen and main batten sheets down and around
the afterdeck but the main sheet must simply
be in the way.

there are also 4 lines (sheets) coming from
the aft, in addition to the 8 lines from
the front (4 reef lines, 2 topping lift2,
2 halyards).
The aft lines have to deal with fouling the
afterdeck, [I took your advice and increased
the size of the afterdeck] I plan to route the
mizzen and main batten sheets down and around
the afterdeck but the main sheet must simply
be in the way.
Good going with your construction Bruce.
I am rigging now, and gagging a bit at the cost of it all!
Have you thought about your control lines from mast to cabin front?
I wonder about all those ropes dangling and swaying right in front
of your line of vision...might pay to keep the 'sick bucket' handy!
I have decided to cleat those controls outside near the base of the
mast for now, because access there is so easy from the forehatch,
and reefing easily done from the big main hatch. And I don't intend
to be out in nasty weather.
What do you intend?

The cabin extends about 2'8" up
from the afterdeck. And 1'9" up
from the forward deck.
Overall, the cabin roof is about 5'4"
above the bottom of the boat. [not

A neighbor from up the street

me how old this boat was. He

100 year old boat, as opposed to

No doubt about it, the boat
has a 'unique' look.

that this sail rig has been
successfully tested and proven
in concept. But exactly where
and how, I don't know. I plan
to 'prototype' the sail once in
white polytarp, and then (when
happy with the shape) [and if
un-happy with the poly-tarp] I
will have the sail reproduced in
sailcloth.

The cabin extends about 2'8" up
from the afterdeck. And 1'9" up
from the forward deck.
Overall, the cabin roof is about 5'4"
above the bottom of the boat. [not
counting the fin].

A neighbor from up the street
stopped in yesterday and asked
me how old this boat was. He

100 year old boat, as opposed to
building a new boat.
No doubt about it, the boat
has a 'unique' look.

Also, do I *have* to have an
outboard motor?
Are there any micro navigators or conversion of finished and sailing
with the designed rig?
How much higher from the cuddy deck of a micro does the cabin house
stand?
Sure liking the looks of the navigator and or the micro trawler.
