RE: Launch of Long Micro !
Finally got her in the water
Organised a friend of mine , who happens to be a very experienced
sailor, Sydney - Hobart race kind of experience, and we took her out
for a couple of hours.
launched easier than I though, floated right were she should.
Very very stable ( four adults on board ).
Only had light winds so had full main up . Sails set really well no
wrinkles of bagging at all.
Very easy to sail ,trim the mizzen correctly and no need to touch
tiller.
Posted a few pics , launched2 + launched4 , in the files section
under andrews long micro.
Next to take her out in more blowy conditions to see how performance
is under pressure.
As soon I can get them developed I'll add more in detail to my website
May even have short mpeg clip of launching !!
Has taken almost 25 months of part time work, but worth all the
effort.
More soon
