Re: [bolger] W. D. Jochems
Thanks Chuck
I had already sent a check to Bolger earlier this week for the video,
and just ordered WoodenBoat #157 this morning thanks to your reply.
We'll see if this is what I'm looking for.
And hey, once or twice a summer we haul our Microtrawler to the waters a
bit east of you. We'll be looking out for that schooner of yours this
summer!

Yep. Lake Meade. Susan was with him as well and you get to see her
take a turn at the tiller. There is quite a bit of commentary.

Rick,
Woodenboat December 2000 - I keep this issue next to my bed and look at it
often. I love the WDJ's. There is one very nice picture, some drawings, and
some stability curves. A great article! The other Bolger boat in the
article is also very beautiful, the St. Valery.
If you are interested in this boat, then you simply must pay Phil Bolger $35
and order the 3 hour video of the WDJ sailing on (I think) Lake Meade.
Have fun,
Chuck - on the shores of the Suisun Marsh, the back waters of the Sacramento
River Delta, very near the San Francisco Bay, on a beautiful winter day, with
a temp of 69 degrees, still trying to figure out how to finish a 90%
completed folding schooner that's been waiting patiently for 3 years.

Can someone tell me what issue of "WoodenBoat" mag. had the article
that included some info on Bolger's W. D. Jochems? Did it have any photos?
Thanks,
Rick
