Brigantine was commissioned by Charles Andrews who sometimes posts here. There is a chapter about the boat in Boats with and Open Mind. Don't think it was ever built though.


Peter Duck: I don't know about torching Viper, but I sure would have at least cut her anchor rode while no one was aboard. Peter Duck has been my favorite so far, although I have to admit I found it bit tense for what I had been reading Ransome for.

Just read "Peter Duck" by Arthur Ransome for the first time. What a
great story. Question - Is it just me, or would any of you have
