Quoting the first sentence from Beowulf:

HWÆT, WE GAR-DEna in geardagum,
þeodcyninga þrym gefrunon,
hu ða æþelingas ellen fremedon,
oft Scyld Scefing sceaþena þreatum,
monegum mægþum meodosetla ofteah,
egsode eorlas, syððanærest wearð
feasceaft funden; he þæs frofre gebad,
weox under wolcnum weorðmyndum þah,
oð þæt him æghwylc ymbsittendra
ofer hronrade hyran scolde,
gomban gyldan; þæt wæs god cyning!
If one can imagine Joyce from a Teutonic point of origin... <G>

Subject: [bolger] PCB + SA writing styles

I might be the only one around
here that feels this way, but
I enjoy *both* of their writing
styles.

PCB's ... spare and insightful.

SA's ... full of stream of conscious
thought process, and insightful.

I bet that they both talk like they write!

You get more out of their writings if you
slow down and try to understand their
thought process. In the case of SA,
you *have* to slow down to patch together
her parenthetical clauses!

Like the difference between Haiku and James Joyce.
